Shoe Care Guide---- Conditioning

This post will teach you how to condition your shoes from
to

First, you will need the right tools to do the job.
Clockwise from left, shine brush, dauber brush, a pair of shoe tree, brown color polish & neutral color shoe cream
After you have all the tools you need, we can start with putting both shoe trees into your shoes.
then we need a dauber brush and neutral color shoe cream, dauber brush which is the smaller brush are usually use for applying wax or cream. (note--- you should have one for each color)

Dip the dauber brush into the shoe cream, then apply shoe cream on to your shoes with the brush in a circular motion until the whole shoe is cover. (circular motion helps apply shoe cream evenly) I usually start off with a decent amount of shoe cream and you can always add more if needed.
Once both shoes are cover with shoe cream, let it sit about 10 to 20 minutes or until its dry. You will also notice the color of your shoe will darken. It is completely normal. Once your shoes dry off, it will turn back to its original color. (Note--- please make sure you don't over do it or you may damage/darken the color of your leather)
Once your shoes are dry, use a shine brush which is a larger brush to give your shoes a little shine.
Circular motion is not require when using shine brush, just make sure you brush the entire shoe that covered by shoe cream.
Since the color of the shoe cream is neutral, the scratch on the shoe can still be seen. This is the time when brown shoe polish comes to work. The differences between shoe cream and polish is cream works more like lotion on your skin and polish gives it a glossy shine. In this care, i don't need my shoes to be shiny but i do need it to repair the color on the scratch.
Use a 100% cotton handkerchief, wash with soap to soften the fabric before use. Dry the handkerchief so it is not driping with water. Wrap the handkerchief on your fingers, tap your fingers with handkerchief on wax. A little wax will do the job!
Use circular motion to apply wax evenly on to the spot you want to repair. Remember, you only need a little amount of wax to repair the color.
Once is done, brush your shoes with shine brush once again. In this picture, you can still see the scratch on the shoe. Since the scratch are colored with brown wax, its less visible.
Congratulations! You successfully conditioned your shoes!!!!!!!!!
